Despite recently undergoing a medical procedure, Rav Yitzchok Ezrachi, rosh yeshiva at Yeshivas Mir in Yerushalayim, displayed remarkable mesirus nefesh by delivering his weekly shmuess to talmidim via a live Zoom broadcast from his hospital room.
Earlier this week, Rav Ezrachi underwent a successful medical treatment, and tefillos were offered on his behalf in batei midrash across the Torah world. The rosh yeshiva, whose condition is now improving b’chasdei Shamayim, is expected by doctors to be released in time for Shabbos.
In a powerful display of devotion to Torah and to his talmidim, Rav Ezrachi refused to forgo his weekly shmuess. A laptop was brought specially to his hospital room, enabling him to connect and share divrei Torah with his talmidim, just as he does each week.
All are asked to continue davening for a refuah sheleimah for Rav Yaakov Yitzchok ben Hinda Malka.
