Weiner Endorses Bill Thompson for Mayor

wienerNow that Rep. Anthony Weiner has dropped out of the race for mayor of New York City, he is throwing his support to City Comptroller William Thompson. Weiner, a Democratic congressman representing parts of Brooklyn and Queens, said he “proudly and forcefully” endorsed Thompson. Weiner dropped out of the race last week, saying that Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s money makes it impossible to have a fair fight.Bloomberg has spent more than $18 million on his re-election campaign since January.

But Weiner said Thompson can win because “this town loves an underdog.”

Weiner and Thompson spoke to reporters at yesterday’s Salute to Israel Parade.

    If that is the case, how come Weiner dropped out? He was just soser himself!

  2. you forgot to mention that this was done at the salute to israel parade, under the banner of thompson and wiener supporting israel, after thompson marched to gether with bloomberg!
