rungeMatzav.com has confirmed that after serving about a half-year of her sentence, frum filmmaker Wendy Runge was granted two-year parole.

Runge could have potentially received a sentence of as long as ten years, but in May, Iowa’s parole board recommended that Runge be granted parole, which could only be approved once she had served six months of her sentence. She was granted the parole on Friday. Once all the paperwork was completed, she was able to join her family at their home in St. Louis Park, Minneapolis for Shabbos.

Speaking to those close to Wendy, Matzav.com was asked to convey their appreciation to all those who had been davening for Zeva Rochel bas Chaya and contributed toward her legal fees.
