netanyahu-obamaYesterday, Yediot Achronot quoted unidentified sources at the State Department as saying that President Barack Obama had invited Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu for talks in mid-July, after a June 30 deadline for a major powers deal with Iran on its nuclear program.

However, this morning, both the White House and the office of Prime Minister Netanyahu denied the report that Obama invited Netanyahu for a visit.

Obama had declined to meet with Netanyahu during the latter’s visit to the United States three months ago because, Obama said, it would have been “inappropriate” to do so just two weeks before the Israeli election.

  1. If PM Netanyahu really wants to feel a big chill he can enter an Israeli walk-in freezer, thereby saving himself a 6,000 mile trip to get the same thing from President Obama.
