The Trump administration has unveiled an updated set of tariffs targeting close to 70 nations, scheduled to be implemented early Friday morning.
This development comes after an intense four-month period of discussions with numerous U.S. allies and trade partners aimed at securing mutual trade agreements — some of which are now incorporated into the revised tariff schedule.
Key highlights from the revised rates include a 10% tariff on Brazilian imports, 15% on goods from Iceland and Israel, 30% on products from South Africa, 39% on Swiss imports, and 20% on items coming from both Taiwan and Vietnam.
The new directive also imposes a 35% tariff on Canadian imports, a 10-point increase from the existing rate, following an executive order signed by Trump.
