White House chief of staff Ron Klain said that President Biden shouldn’t “estimate or underestimate” former President Trump in a potential 2024 rematch.

“I wouldn’t want to estimate or underestimate Donald Trump as an opponent if he chooses to run,” Klain told Axios’s Mike Allen in an interview on “Axios on HBO” that aired Sunday.

“My experience, Mike, is that incumbent presidents are judged on their record,” he added. “President Trump had a bad record in 2020. Joe Biden is hopefully assembling a powerful record to run on if he runs for reelection in 2024.”

Klain’s remarks suggest that the White House is anticipating a potentially tough reelection fight if Trump ultimately decides to mount a political comeback in 2024.

  1. Biden will have been sent to graceful pasture somewhere in Delaware, long before the next election cycle will commence. Of course, it will be termed retirement for reasons of health.
They meant to say that Harris won’t underestimate Trump; and she shouldn’t.

  2. Just looking today in Yerusholayim on Yom Yerusholayim:- Oh:- How desperately & sorely we need President Donald Trump back in the White House. Sleepy joe should get lost in his Delaware basement for ever.

  3. No. It’s time to move on. DeSantis will be the next POTUS. He is an upstanding patriotic American without the baggage. Mike Pence would make a great President but he won’t make it in the primaries, unfortunately. Same reason why we can’t get Mike Huckabee as President.

  4. Trump is a great man, genius at disrupting the establishment, but he pretty much failed strategically as a President:
    1) The Human Resources. Trump could have fired every high ranking federal bureaucrat from FBI to CDC and filled up the vacancies with his aggressive conservatives. In general, Trump’s method of evaluating the judicial and other high ranking appointees failed miserably – as almost every one of them betrayed Trump.
    2) Trump could have nipped the scamdemic in the bud by declaring a federal emergency and superseding any illegal decrees from the Democratic socialist-fascist governors – basically what DeSantis did in Florida but on a federal scale. Trump could have kept the country open, and perhaps have some kind of voluntary isolation program for the elderly and the immunocompromised. If he did that, the American economy would have still been alive, and the dollar would not have been devalued by the printing press. Even the 2020 banana-republic election cheating would not have happened had Trump taken away any power to shut down the economy and the society from the socialist-fascist governors.
    3) Letting out “nonviolent” drug convicts was a major contributor to the recent crime increase. By the nature of their “business”, most drug pushers have to be involved in violence as well. Just because the prosecutors took the easy way out with the drug convictions, it doesn’t mean these “nonviolent” drug convicts are indeed nonviolent people. Yes, the “war on drugs” has been a failure: it did not take away any drugs, but it did give the police state the unconstitutional search and seizure powers, hence the “war on drugs” should be dismantled, but the dismantlement should start with taking away the unconstitutional search and seizure powers from the IRS(such as the 10k rule and the fbar) and the law enforcement(such as seizing property without even filing the criminal charges), not by giving a bunch of street thugs the get out of jail card while leaving all the police state powers intact.
    4) Letting the antifa and blm terrorists burn our cities: Trump could have declared a martial law in the cities attacked by the antifa, he could have deputized thousands of law abiding gun owners and given them the qualified immunity for doing whatever is necessary to take our streets back, he could have fired every Pentagon official who made public statements regarding disobeying the commander in chief in case of the martial law declaration, but he didn’t. As a result, the antifa and blm are still free to terrorise us with impunity.
Whatever Trump’s reasons: whether he tried to appease the Democrats by deeds while paradoxically attacking them on Twitter, or whether he was surrounded by bad advisors, or simply because he is not a good strategist, it’s all irrelevant – Trump should step down and let DeSantis be elected in 2024. I voted twice for Trump – in 2016 and 2020, but I am not voting for anyone other than DeSantis in 2024. I still respect Trump as a revolutionary, but I will loose all respect if he continues the 2024 presidency push.
