World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Monday the world must be better prepared for the next pandemic, as he called on countries to invest in public health.
More than 27.19 million people have been reported to be infected by the coronavirus globally and 888,326 have died, according to a Reuters tally, since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.
“This will not be the last pandemic,” Tedros told a news briefing in Geneva. “History teaches us that outbreaks and pandemics are a fact of life. But when the next pandemic comes, the world must be ready – more ready than it was this time.”

This rhetoric is about as meaningless as some politician saying “The American people have to rise up and deal with and defeat the challenges that we will be facing in the next decades blah,blah,blah…”
Of course we should be better prepared to deal with any new pandemics that may ch’v take place. You don’t become the head of the WHO for saying that.
You have to give us an idea of what can be done (other than throwing money at researchers) to be worthy of such a shteller.
Let me guess! The WHO (whose biggest financial supporter is the Bill Gates Foundation who has invested 50 Billion dollars in vaccines) will tell us we all have to be prepared with vaccines! Wow! What a surprise…..
