Two emergency-response personnel in New Jersey were caught taking a Periscope video of themselves waiting in line at a fast-food restaurant while ignoring a call from dispatchers. The pair of EMT workers have quit “as a result of their inappropriate conduct,” an emergency spokeswoman said.

Someone watching the live video asked about why they weren’t leaving White Castle, and one EMT responded by saying he wasn’t going to leave his dinner waiting while they responded to the likely “taxi ride” call. A “taxi ride” refers to people who fake emergencies to get free rides to the hospital, CBS News wrote. No individual was found to have been harmed by the delay. Read more at CBS News.
