The wife of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter after the death of George Floyd, has filed for divorce.
According to a statement from Sekula Law Offices PLLC, Kellie Chauvin has officially filed for divorce. A lawyer for Kellie Chauvin added that she is distraught about the death of Floyd, CBS reported.
“She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy,” the law firm said in a statement on behalf of Kellie Chauvin and her family.
“While Ms. Chauvin has no children from her current marriage, she respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family be given safety and privacy during this difficult time,” the statement added.

to just saying: I hope no one should ever be put in such a position.
However I do sympathise with a woman who has watched her husband choke a man to death, whilst being admonished by bystanders who update him on the victim’s situation. Somehow any positive feelings towards the killer would tend to evaporate rather quickly in anyone with an ounce of decency.

I think that her biggest fear is that if she and her children do not get away from him and keep away from him, at some time either soon or later, he will kill her or/and one or more of her children. Even if he does not actually kill any of them, it is very likely that he may severely injure one or more of them in a way that will bring severe pain and lifelong crippling harm. It is well known that, unfortunately — often under the fake guise of supposed “discipline” — some very wicked parents and step-parents have done some excessively horrific things to those under them.
