Former Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu has not been a tefillin wearer. According to insiders, he has repeatedly been asked him to keep the mitzvah, but – under various pretexts – he has always refused.
On Sunday, Chol Hamoed, journalist Yinon Magal, who is close to him, posted a video in which he was seen urging Netanyahu to put on tefillin.
“Prime Minister,” Magal is heard addressing him, “the Chabadniks are driving me crazy. I have friends and people I meet who are asking you to put on tefillin.”
Netanyahu is heard responding in the video: “Certainly not on Chol Hamoed.”
After the Yom Tov ends, will Netanyahu, probably for the first time in public, put on tefillin? Time will tell.

Not on Chol Hamoed.
Leitzanus in its strongest form.
Shame on him! Posheia Bigufo!
What’s wrong with that. I don’t wear tephillen on chal hamoed either. This is our minhag.
While we’re at it, I personally think that this whole gebrokst thing is way over done. Most of the sheeple today who are “makpid” not to come within daled amos of gebrokst, have no clue as to why they allegedly don’t eat
it.
They are makpid on gebrokst but not makpid on tznius and hilchos Shabbos. People take “minhag” and turn it into halacha. Then they take halacha and turn it into minhag. Their whole connection to Yiddishkiet is gebrokst. Nebach.
Dear Holier than thou, Why don’t you really say what’s on your mind?
If (when iy”H) he puts on tefillin he should put on the standard type
First keep Shabbos, get everyone to keep one Shabbos, and we’ll be redeemed immediately.
Then we can work on the tefillin.
My partner was on flight with him and he put on Tfilin
Why is this not loshon Hora?
