The Gerer rosh yeshiva, Rav Shaul Alter, is preparing for a trip to the United States in support of Bais Medrash Pnei Menachem in Yerushalayim.
The Rosh Yeshiva will leave his home in Yerushalayim after Shabbos Parshas Yisro, beginning his journey to the United States.
Scheduled for the weeks of Parshas Mishpatim and Terumah, his trip will take him to multiple cities across the U.S. He will spend two days in Los Angeles, one day in Boro Park, Shabbos in Lakewood, and pay a two-day visit to Baltimore, Maryland.
The Rosh Yeshiva is expected to return home by Tuesday of the week of Parshas Terumah.
It is noteworthy that Rav Shaul has received a personal invitation from President Donald Trump. Some sources suggest that this visit may also include an opportunity for a meeting with the president.
