coldIt is shaping up to be a blustery and cold early Wednesday morning in the Tri-State Area. With temperatures dropping to a low of 15 degrees overnight, residents have to be prepared to brave the big chill for the remainder of the week.

AccuWeather Meteorologist John Feerick said many of New York City’s suburbs could see temperatures in the upper single digits.

CBS 2′s Lonnie Quinn added it will feel like 3 degrees in the city with the wind chill and as low as minus-10 in the northern suburbs.

We won’t get a break over the next few days either. Wednesday will be partly sunny, brisk and cold with a high of 28. Temperatures are expected drop down to the upper teens on Wednesday night.

Thursday’s high will only reach the upper 20s before getting a little bit warmer on Friday, which will see a high of 34.
Once again, drivers should be wary of black ice following the extensive melting over the last two days.
