The Boy Scouts of America, a century-old institution that has been in existence for 115 years, has officially changed its name to a more inclusive, “gender-neutral” title. As of this past weekened, the organization will now be known as Scouting America, Fox News reports.
Roger Krone, President and CEO, explained the shift to the Associated Press, noting, “The fact that we were going with a more kind of gender-neutral name, a lot of people kind of wanted to know more about it.”
The Boy Scouts of America has also been involved in financial struggles in recent years, and has faced legal battles, including being implicated in the largest national abuse case in U.S. history.
The new name can now be found on the organization’s official website, which outlines its commitment to diversity. Under the “Diversity” section, the site states, “The BSA promotes a culture where youth, volunteers, and employees feel a sense of belonging — where every person feels respected and valued.”
NBC Bay Area reported in May that the organization had already begun admitting girls into its ranks in recent years. One young woman was highlighted who earned the prestigious Eagle Scout rank at just 14 years old.
In 2017, Reverend Franklin Graham called on all churches to sever their ties with the Boy Scouts after the Mormon Church withdrew its teenage boys from the organization, according to Breitbart News. Graham shared his views on social media, saying, “Churches should always stand with teachings that align with the Word of God. Two years ago the Boy Scouts of America voted to allow [toeivah] leaders and then this year began to allow members based on their gender identity rather than their biological [gender], opening the door to [toeivah] members.”
He went on to say, “I think the Mormon Church — and all churches — should pull out of the Boy Scouts organization completely. They need to get their younger boys out as well. I would not want my child or grandchild to be influenced by the lifestyle of a [toeivah] Scout Leader that goes against God’s design for creation.”

In 2013, when, very tragically, the Boy Scouts announced that they were defecting from their hitherto policies of upright morals to embrace the Toeiva thingy, several Christian religious & other conservative oriented groups broke off from the Boy Scouts to form their own independent young men scouting programs. One of them is called “Trail Life USA.”
On its com website, they state their their vision & their mission & their oath & their motto:
Vision: “Our vision is to be the premier national character development organization for young men which produces godly* and responsible husbands, fathers, and citizens.”
Mission: “Our Mission is to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God,* lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.”
Oath: On my honor, I will do my best, To serve God* and my country, To respect authority, To be a good steward of creation, And to treat others as I want to be treated.
Motto: (Is a quote of a sentence from the “New Testament” part of the Christian Bible)
