A young mother from the East Coast has spent months apart from her children, after illness has separated them and forced her to live in a California hospital.
Tzippy’s shocking story began just a few years ago when she was diagnosed with what appeared to be a ‘simple’ virus. The virus took an unexpected turn for the worst when she went into septic shock. One by one the young woman’s organs began to shut down. Against all odds, she survived – but it was only the beginning of her medical journey.
What followed in the years to come was over a hundred surgeries, and an ever-increasing list of complications. Tzippy is now nearly always hospitalized, and endures severe pain. Her two young children live at home alone with their father, who works in retail to support them. The family has amassed a staggering sum of medical debt just to keep Tzippy alive. They now lack the funds to give their children the basic security they so badly need.
Donations are being accepted to help Tzippy and her children cover their daily expenses. They have been hit hard by their mother’s illness. With the help of strangers, however, their lives could be more stable.
