Working, Jewish women often find it difficult to make the time to network professionally. When dealing with so many obligations including work, family, and community, networking for one’s own career advancement often gets neglected.

That’s why this past Sunday’s networking breakfast hosted by Women In The Workforce, a division of the Parnassah Network that supports Orthodox women with professional development, was so appreciated. Held in The Avenue Event Space in Teaneck, the event was sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC. A hosting committee of women from Bergen county including Sorah (Sherry) Birnbaum, Helene Strumeyer, Julie Farkas and Sorah (Suzanne) Grunstein helped arrange the event and invited local women who were looking to grow professionally and make new connections.

The chance for women to meet like-minded professionals who live busy, full lives was invigorating and inspiring. Women from Teaneck, Englewood, Passaic, Riverdale, Monsey, and Brooklyn came together to share ideas, frustrations, resources and laughs. Attendees represented a range of fields including law, financial services, technology, real estate, healthcare, marketing, and business services. A delicious breakfast spread followed by several rounds of speed networking allowed the attendees to maximize their networking opportunities. The event was a unique mix of business and pleasure that allowed attendees to make new connections professionally and personally fulfilling.
