His talk was given at Chabad of Oxford in England.

  1. I listened to this on Tisha B’Av and he fled Paris and decided to join the French resistance as he could not stomach working for the Gestapo.He never accepted the Gestapo’s job offer.

  2. I saw the video, and I am suspect as to the authenticity of his story.

    Revisionist and embellishment story telling from Holocaust survivors is nothing new. I have a friend who writes extensively on first-hand narratives, and he has seen time and time again that the stories were made up. This is done for many reasons, which is outside the scope of my posting. But the simple reason is for fame and recognition.

    He stated in the video that he was all of 17 years old. I find it a bit hard to believe that he ‘tunneled under the barbwire’ at the holding camp (not a concentration camp).
