Misao Okawa, the oldest living person in the world, died early Wednesday of natural causes, according to officials at her nursing home in Osaka, Japan. She was 117.

The super centenarian, born in 1898, was recognized as the oldest person by Guinness World Records in 2013. Okawa celebrated her birthday in March with her 92-year-old eldest son and his family along with local media. When asked if 117 years was long or short, she replied, “it’s short.” Read more at NBC News.

  1. I think this is an absolute disgrace for a frum site such as this to be putting pictures of women. If we don’t keep a standard…who will!!!!
