#wrongtrump Trends on Twitter after Death of President’s Brother

Following the death of President Trump’s brother Robert Trump, critics of the president have been tweeting the hashtag #wrongtrump, as if to say that it should have been the president to die instead.

As of Sunday morning, the hashtag was the second highest trending on Twitter, with more than 77,600 tweets, including a journalist and an NAACP leader.

“Dear Grim Reaper, You took the #wrongtrump,” tweeted Bishop Talbert Swan, who is a pastor, radio host, and president of the Springfield, Mass., branch of the NAACP.

“What did he promise the devil for the Grim Reaper to take the #wrongtrump ???” tweeted journalist David Leavitt.

  1. But that’s not hate-mongering, right? That doesn’t represent a stated threat to the President’s life, yes? But to promote hydroxychloroquine, that’s akin to murder… Oy, der velt fun sheker….

  2. And these posts Twitter allows. Such hypocrites. Twitter has no policy they suspend users for no reason at all. I logged into my account one day only to find a message your account has been suspended. There was no warning and if they would at least tell me what I wrote wrong I would maybe feel a little better. I rarely use Twitter and whenever I comment I try to be respectful, so I assume some censor disagreed with my comment and off you go with no recourse.
