A liquidation sale has officially begun at all X-mas Tree Shops store locations, marking the start of the store’s closure after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Shoppers can enjoy discounts of up to 50 percent off the lowest ticketed prices across the store.
All holiday items will be available at a 50 percent discount from the lowest ticketed prices.
Hilco Merchant Resources, responsible for managing the liquidation event, stated, “Find significant savings on all your favorite items… it’s [holiday] savings in July!”
As part of the store closures, select fixtures, furnishings, and equipment will also be available for sale. New merchandise will continue to arrive throughout the sale period.
All sales during this store closing event are final.
Recently, it was reported that X-mas Tree Shops had defaulted on a loan that was utilized to support its bankruptcy proceedings. The Wall Street Journal revealed that the Middleboro-based retailer had secured a $45 million bankruptcy loan, but creditors sought to terminate the loan due to the company’s failure to meet the terms. This was attributed, in part, to declining revenues.
Following the sales event, approximately 70 existing stores nationwide, will permanently close their doors.

Why is this being reported on this site?
Seriously, Matzav, what is this article doing here?
Just FYI: Using X instead of yoshke’s name does absolutely nothing. It is the church itself that coined the phrase X-mas, with the X serving to refer to the cross used to hang yoshke. so essentially, you’re replacing a word that, essentially, means “the one hung on a cross” with “the cross” – what’s the difference?
nothing wrong with buying sukkah decoration. May there be Moshiach very soon.
A little bit of thinking before you reply can go a long way.
Maybe this store sells more than just Xmas trees and it can be a real toeles to some people to be made aware of it.
You are correct. Although I never went in there, I believe it’s a discount store.
