[Hearing concluded at 11:55 a.m. EST/Live link below.] A hearing by the House sub-committee on Foreign Affairs will be held in Room 2172 of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC, this morning to discuss the plight of Yanky Ostreicher, who is currently imprisoned at the Palmasola prison in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
Witnesses scheduled to testify at the hearing include Mrs. Miriam Ostreicher, Yanky’s wife; Mrs. Chaya Gitty Weinberger, Yanky’s daughter; and Mr. Steve Moore, former special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
The hearing has been called by New Jersey Representative Chris Smith, who has also made a formal request of U.S. Assistant Secretary of State of Western Hemisphere Affairs Roberta Jacobson to personally intervene in this case.
