Yemen’s president has fled the country by boat, officials tell the AP, leaving the port city of Aden. Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi reportedly left with aides on two boats, as Houthi rebels came ever closer to taking the city.
The country has had mounting internal strife since Shia rebels toppled a Sunni-led government in January. In response, Saudi Arabia-led by Sunnis-is reportedly massing troops on the border with Yemen. Read more.
