Israel Rail informed the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that due to safety regulations, the opening of the Yerushalayim-Tel Aviv high-speed rail line will be delayed until September or October.
“It is inconceivable that a delay is authorized for regulatory reasons, while whenever a delay is caused by Shabbos observance, a cry goes out that delaying the work will cause pikuach nefesh,” MK Yaakov Asher of UTJ said.
Supposed to open in 2008 at the cost of $1 billion, the line’s opening was delayed for almost a decade as its cost doubled.
With a cruising speed of 100 mph, the train will hopefully cut the 35-mile journey between the two cities from an hour to 28 minutes.

Only if they would observe Shabbos!
only if yeshivas wouldn’t throw out bochrim to the street!
Which yeshiva throw bochurim out on the street? Are you talking about bums, mechalel shabbesniks?
