The launch of a second round of PPP loans brings with it not only the prospect of financial relief but also an incredible opportunity to do a mitzvah. Eastern Union, in partnership with Torah Umesorah, will be donating 20 percent of its bank commission on all PPP loans to the yeshiva or yeshivos of your choice.
Applicants have the option of either submitting their loan request through a yeshiva’s direct PPP link or by applying for a PPP at EasternUnion.com/TorahUmesorah and directing the donation to a particular yeshiva.
All yeshivas are eligible to participate in the program and donations can be split between multiple schools.
To apply for the PPP please visit EasternUnion.com/torahumesorah or to register a school email [email protected].
Will parents receive a tuition discount due to schools receiving PPP funds bankrolling their payroll expenses for a couple months?
Not the elementary school for my kids, that’s for sure. I had to pay tuition even though there was no school. They just took it without asking or even saying thank you. And I wish that was the biggest avlah!
@ David, as a parent I share your frustration. However, yeshivas still had to pay their teachers who did work hard remotely. That being said Yeshivas did all receive ppp, (its public info you can look online) they should be passing some relief to parents instead of double dipping
Disgusting comments
Hope your children’s Rebbeim and moros can counteract your terrible attitude and lashon hara
@Shame on you:
Please clarify who said loshon hara. Not one name was dropped.
As far as attitude is concerned, not going a thank you, and just money being taken without explanation or even a request does reflect a bad attitude on their part.
The bottom line is my kids’ school got a very substantial PPP loan and received tuition from me at the same time. And if you want to talk about terrible attitude and loshon hara, I can tell you the horrors I endured in that school.
These are facts.
yeshous milk us they think we are cows
Are you takeh overweight?
The ability of Yeshivas to fundraise was severely impacted by covid. No dinners, no parlor meetings , even visits to gevirim were severely limited. That is what the PPP money cameto make up for despite no tuition relief.
@Anonymous:
My kids’ school got a substantial ppp loan and tuition. The owners live very nicely.
