Rav Chaim Kanievsky, at the Lederman Shul in Bnei Brak, was honored with Maftir Yonah.

Ponovezh rosh yeshiva Rav Gershon Edelstein davened all the Yom Kippur tefillos at the Ponevezh Yeshiva. During the break today, he stayed in a special room built next to the bais medrash and did not return to his home. After the fast, thousands went to receive his bracha at his home.

Rav Nissim Karelitz remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Maayan Hayeshuah Hospital in Bnei Brak. On Yom Kippur, tefillos were held there with a small minyan of 12 people. All are asked to continue davening for Rav Shmaryahu Yosef Nissim ben Basya.

At Yeshiva Ateres Yisroel, led by Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, the tefillos were held for the first time at the yeshiva’s new building in Modi’in Illit. Rav Ezrachi davened Neilah for the amud.

At the Slabodka Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, Rav Yitzchok Gefen davened Shacharis for the amud. For the first time in 50 years, Rav Shlomo Edelstein did not daven Mussaf for the amud because of weakness. Instead Rav Bentzion Chodosh davened for the amud.

Rav Moshe Shternbuch davened at his yeshiva in Ramat Bet Shemesh, serving as the chazzan for Kol Nidrei Neilah. During Neilah, he skipped Selichos to allow the kohanim to duchen before shkiah and then went back to complete the Selichos.
