Have you ever come across someone who tested positive for COVID-19 but never experienced any symptoms? Or perhaps someone who claims they never contracted the virus despite being in close contact with an infected individual? Scientists now estimate that over 20% of people who become infected with COVID-19 remain asymptomatic, and some of them may not even be aware that they were infected. A new study published in Nature on July 19 suggests that their genetics might hold the key to their lack of illness.

Certain individuals possess a specific variant of a gene in their immune system called HLA-B, which seems to protect them from feeling the effects of the virus. According to the study, those with this special HLA-B variant are 2 to 8 1/2 times more likely to be asymptomatic compared to those without it. This discovery sheds light on why some people experience extreme cases of COVID-19, while others remain entirely asymptomatic.

The researchers conducted the study with the help of Good Samaritans who had signed up to donate bone marrow through the Be The Match program. Some of these donors had also participated in the COVID-19 Citizen Science Study led by Jill Hollenbach, an immunologist at the University of California, San Francisco. The participants were asked to track their COVID-19 experiences through a smartphone app, and their genetic data was linked to their answers.

The HLA genes play a crucial role in the immune system. They sit on the surface of our cells and, when infected by a virus, present a piece of that virus to the immune system, signaling it to attack the infected cell. Hollenbach found that one particular variant, HLA-B*15:01, was associated with asymptomatic COVID-19 cases. People with this variant seem to have enhanced protection against COVID-19 after being exposed to closely related common cold viruses. This is due to a process called cross-reactive immunity, where prior exposure to other seasonal cold viruses with similarities to SARS-CoV-2 confers some existing immunity.

The study, though seen as a breakthrough by experts like Dr. Eric Topol from the Scripps Research Institute, has its limitations. The research participants were primarily of European ancestry, making it challenging to apply the findings to diverse populations. Additionally, the study relied on self-reported symptoms, which might have led to some inaccuracies. Furthermore, the HLA-B*15:01 variant was only present in about one-fifth of the individuals who reported being asymptomatic.

Despite these limitations, the research could open up new possibilities for developing vaccines and therapeutics aimed at preventing symptoms rather than infection itself. Such breakthroughs, though still distant, have the potential to revolutionize COVID-19 treatment.

  1. Covid has been proven to be a hoax and the Covid “tests” an even bigger hoax. Look how many who were behind the genocide are gone B”H, like Rochelle Walensky, Fauci, Andrew Cuomo, etc.

  2. COVID = Medical Genocide Via Modern-Day Bio-Weapons

  3. Testing positive for Covid-19 means testing positive for low IQ to whom they can administer their death shots. Only dummies went to take the “Covid-19” tests. Remember when somebody called for a blood test result. The secretary told her to wait a minute while she checks it out. The secretary forgot to press the mute button and the caller heard her question to her co-workers “What’s today positive or negative?” To which they replied, “In the morning positive, in the afternoon negative.”
Not only are the CDC, WHO and Health Dept corrupt, they were causing their secretaries to be crooks and unethical too.
