A young man in his 30s was found unconscious in a mikvah in Bnei Brak this morning and died at the hospital.
At about 5:40 a.m., police received a report about a young man found unconscious in the mikvah on Rechov Breuer. A paramedic arrived and began performing CPR in an attempt to save his life. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Israeli police have opened an investigation, as there are suspicions of foul play.
Yair Amar of Ichud Hatzolah said: “When I arrived, he was unconscious, without a pulse. We undertook lengthy resuscitation efforts and took him to the hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. The circumstances of the incident are not clear.”
Two years ago, the younger brother of the niftar was shot at the entrance to Bnei Brak. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Within a few hours, Dan Region investigators were able to catch two suspects police at Ben Gurion Airport; they had bought plane tickets to Spain. In less than a month, they two were indicted.
