Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky marked the 500th day of the Russian invasion on Shabbos by hailing the country’s soldiers in an address from a Black Sea island that has become synonymous with Ukraine’s resilience.
Speaking from Snake Island, Zelensky honored the Ukrainian soldiers who fought for the island and all other defenders of the country, saying that reclaiming control of the island “is a great proof that Ukraine will regain every bit of its territory.”
“I want to thank — from here, from this place of victory — each of our soldiers for these 500 days,” Zelensky said. “Thank you to everyone who fights for Ukraine!”
The tiny island became a symbol of Ukrainian defiance on the war’s first day after Ukrainian guards famously refused to surrender to Russian forces, replying “Go (expletive) yourself.”
Zelensky, wearing a black hoodie and camouflage bullet-proof vest, laid flowers to honor those who defended the island, and thanked all the soldiers who have fought for Ukraine since Russia’s February 24, 2022 invasion. –i24 News
500 Days Of War and not 1 city was captured. What kind of “war” is this? What’s the purpose of this war? Will you tell the world what the Russians have been doing there these 500 days? It seems that conspiracy theorists who didn’t fall for this “war” narrative have been right again.
It’s a war to break down the Ukraine, so that they can take it over (“back”). At least that was the plan. Meanwhile, Putin’s succeeded in destroying vast swaths of the country, killing and injuring who-knows-how-many, displacing millions, costing foreign nationsa fortune, to say nothing of the costs of supply chain and shortages of crucial ingredients, components and fuel. Had the rest of the world made the attempt to stop Putin, we’d have saved international economies billions of dollars.
This is fake news media brainwashing gullible sheeple. The truth which you can’t expect fake news media to say is that hundreds of thousands of children have been rescued from their deep underground tunnels and their nuclear weapons and bio-chemical labs have been destroyed.
