George Zimmerman may have gotten off scot free, but it’s his wife’s turn in the hot water.
After Shellie Zimmerman pled guilty of perjury on Wednesday, she was sentenced to one year probation and 100 hours of community service by a Florida judge.
At a bond hearing for her husband in April 2012, Zimmerman testified that she’d lied about the couple’s finances, when they had raised more than $100,000 via Internet donations.
A recording of jail calls shows George used code to instruct Shellie to transfer $74,000 to her personal bank account and $50,000 to his sister’s right before the bond hearing. Read more at USA Today.
