Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been hospitalized several times in Amman over the past three months, the London-based newspaper Al-Quds al-Arabi reported yesterday.
Abbas, 75, was reportedly admitted to hospital six times in the Jordanian capital in recent weeks. The entire hospital wing was closed each time the Palestinian leader was admitted, and medical personnel were instructed not to disclose the treatment administered.
The report did not state the reason for Abbas’ hospitalization, but speculated that it is possible he is receiving treatment for heart problems. Unconfirmed reports have stated that Abbas received treatment for heart troubles before leaving for a diplomatic trip to Egypt three days ago.
Nabil Abu Rudeineh, a spokesman for Abbas’ office, firmly rejected the reports that the Palestinian president is receiving treatment for a heart condition. Abbas underwent treatment for prostate cancer eight years ago.

Six weeks. Ken Yirbu.
Who says the new pharroh is going to be any better?
Abbas is no Tzadik but we are still better off with him as he from the few Palestinian leaders that doesn’t openly encourage and incite terror.
There weren’t any Palestinean hospitals that can deal well with heart problems?
#3, it’s better if the leader calls for it openly. Then the world can’t claim they really want peace.
