The NYPD Hate Crime Unit is investigating a swastika found yesterday in a Brooklyn building – the second time in nine days that the anti-Semitic symbol was found scrawled at the location, officials said.
The swastika was discovered inside an elevator at 70 Ross St. in Williamsburg at about 3 p.m. yesterday, sources said.
The same building was targeted earlier this month, when a swastika was etched into the button control panel of an elevator.
Police said the latest incident is believed to be a new act of vandalism at the building.
The hateful symbol comes after three cars were torched in a Hasidic neighborhood in Midwood on Nov. 11. In addition, swastikas were found on benches near the crime scene.
There have been no arrests in any of the incidents.
