It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Yosef Meir ben Yoel, the 4-month-old child struck by a vehicle on Route 59 in Monsey, NY, just over a week ago.
The accident took place when a car cut into the shoulder of the road in order to get around traffic.
The Toyota Corolla being driven by a man west on Route 59 slammed into Mrs. Braun and her three children – a thirteen year old daughter, an eight year old daughter, and Yosef Meir, who was in a carriage. All of the Brauns, residents of Monsey, were taken to Westchester Medical Center.
Yosef Meir suffered cardiac arrest on scene and succumbed to his injuries earlier today.
The incident took place near the intersection of Robert Pitt Drive and Route 59.

BD”E. Horrible tragedy. So sad.
BDE – the baby achieved his tikkun, but such excruciating pain for the family.
Wasn’t the mother also injured? Is she completely healed and doesn’t need our tefillos?
I saw her name listed as Chaya Sara bas Esther Devora.
Please update if she still needs a refuah or not.
The names r in the article .
“BDE – the baby achieved his tikkun”, was that comment needed ?
Just Daaven and say nothing.
PLEASE CONTINUE DAVENING FOR THE MOTHER CHAYA SORA BAS ESTHER DEVORAH AS PER AN AUNT OF THE BRAUNS.
