Rosh Hashanah davening in the main Belzer bais medrash in Kiryat Belz in Yerushalayim finished at 5 p.m. on the first day of Yom Tov and at about 6:30 p.m. on the second day of Yom Tov.
On the second day, there were four brisos in the Belzer bais medrash, and the Belzer Rebbe served as sandek at all of them.
On the first night, it took about two hours for the chassidim in the bais medrash to pass the Rebbe and wish him lechanah tovah; the Rebbe did not shake the hands of chassidim but simply nodded his head.
On the second night of the Yom Tov, the Rebbe held his customary L’Dovid Mizmor tish, which didn’t end until 2:30 in the morning.
The first kolos of tekias shofar in the bais medrash were blown by the Rebbe using a shofar of his uncle, Rav Aharon of Belz zt”l.
