Britain: Boots on the Ground Won’t Help

David CameronDavid Cameron, the British prime minister, urged parliament to back his plans for bombing ISIS targets in Syria on Thursday but opposition politicians remain split on the utility of airstrikes.

Cameron said Western boots on the ground would be “counter-productive” and surprisingly claimed that there were 70,000 moderate Sunni fighters ready to tackle ISIS on the ground in Syria.

Britain will only join Russia, France, and the U.S. in launching airstrikes in Syria if there is cross-party support. Read more at BBC News.
