Chacham Ovadiah: Abbas and Palestinians Should Perish
Chacham Ovadia Yosef, head of the Shas party’s Moetzet Chachmei Hatorah, denounced upcoming peace talks with the Palestinians, which are set to start September 2 in Washington, and called for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to “perish from this world.”
“Abu Mazen and all these evil people should perish from this world,” Chacham Ovadia was quoted as saying during his weekly drasha on Motzoei Shabbos at the bais medrash near his home in Yerushalayim. “Hakadosh Boruch Hu should strike them with a plague, them and these Palestinians.”
Chacham Ovadiah also called the Palestinians “evil, bitter enemies of Israel” during his drasha.
Meanwhile, Shas Interior Minister Eli Yishai earlier this week also remarked on the forthcoming peace talks with the Palestinians, saying that Shas would oppose extending the West Bank settlement building freeze due to expire in late September.
Yishai has suggested that Israel would continue construction in the main settlement blocs likely to remain part of Israel in the framework of a peace deal, but freeze construction in outposts or more remote settlements.

Why does this cause a shturem in velt? The arabs almost without exception want to drown us in the sea. It’s such an aveira to wish death upon such people?

I was just wondering what mr abu mazen the malot terrorist attack planner, where well over 30 jews were killed has to say about chacham ovadyas curse upon him, and as far as peace is concerned well chacham ovadya still belives in peace and whom do you make peace with if not with your staunchest hater but and as long as there is no peace, and they are constantly planning against us chacham ovadya says we should pray for their demise.
