Matzav.com has just received a message from a family whose wedding this evening has been moved from Ateres Shlomo Hall to Ateres Chaya Hall. According to the information provided to Matzav.com, the Ateres Shlomo Hall on New Utrecht Avenue at 77th Street has been closed by authorities, making it necessary for the Kops-Tevlowitz wedding to be relocated to Ateres Chaya, located at the corner of 14th Avenue and 54th Street in Boro Park.
Matzav.com just spoke with Ateres Chaya Hall, which confirmed that everything is in place for the wedding and they expect it to run smoothly, without any problems whatsoever.
The family was notified less than four hours ago of the change of location and is trying to get the message out to the guests travelling to this simcha.
The chosson is Shmuel Tevlowitz of Monsey, NY.
The kallah is a daughter of Rav Refoel Kops, rov of the Elmwood Village Shul in Lakewood.
The schedule remains the same, with the kabbolas ponim beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by the chupah at 7:30 p.m.
May Klal Yisroel only continue to celebrate simchos.

i think the two halls mare run by the same people, but chaya is way more expensive than shlomo

mazel tov
why not make it in Bais Faiga?!
They should just have nachas and be zoche to build a bayis neeman b’Yisroel. One thing is for sure: They’ll never forget this!
forget about music. who’s the mesader kiddushin? Make sure he changes the location on the kesubah!!
I am going to the wedding and did not know about this. I assume that Ateres Shlomo will have a sign up directing people where to go if they didn’t see this news online or hear about it.
Anyone have anything intelligent to say?
“Make sure he changes the location on the kesubah!”
What’s to change? Both places are in Brooklyn.
I don’t know about your kesubah, but the one I gave my wife simply says “Brooklyn, New York” without specifying the name of the hall.
The Wolf
Iam sure there is a sign up at the first hall directing people to the other hall which is not far away,
its not that big a deal
The chasunah is in Brooklyn because the Kops live there. Rabbi Kops comes to Lakewood every once in a while.
shmuely tevlowitz is an ish coshive as is his father a rebbe in monseys beth shraga

why did it close?
Wedding is now in full swing at Ateres Chaya. Kalman from Ateres Shlomo did some quick thinking and called Ateres Chaya. For the rest of the day, the Ateres Shlomo and Ateres Chaya crew really worked hard all day to pull this one off. All the food was shipped over allready cooked. The waiters are all from Ateres Shlomo. Gotta go….
I hope someone told the chasan and kallah about the new location.
YENTAS YENTAS YENTAS
SAY MAZEL TOV AND WISH THEM SIMCHAS AND NACHAS
THATS ALL THAT COUNTS!!!!
does anyone know why it was closed? just curious
I thought that wedding halls in Brooklyn are booked every night. Does anyone know if this is common to find a popular hall that’s empty? Especially right after yom tov, when people couldn’t make weddings for the last few weeks.
At least they got a much better hall then they paid for.lol
