Underground Missile BaseIranian state television broadcast footage Wednesday of an underground tunnel packed with missiles and launcher units, just days after Iran test-fired a long-range ballistic missile.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard opened the doors of the facility to state television, which did not disclose the location of the site but said it was 500 meters underground.

The head of the Revolutionary Guard’s aerospace division, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, said the facility is an example of Iran’s missile strength. He said many such tunnels exist across the country.

The White House said Tuesday that Iran likely breached U.N. rules by testing its long-range ballistic missile.

But White House spokesman Josh Earnest said any violations by Iran of U.N. Security Council resolutions involving its ballistic missile activities are separate from the historic nuclear deal reached between Iran and world powers.

Iran announced Sunday it had successfully tested a new domestically produced long-range missile, which it said was the first that could be guided all the way to targets.
