An Israeli oil company, the Eilat Ashkelon Pipeline Company, has been ordered to pay $1.1 billion in compensation to Iran by a Swiss court, the official Iranian news agency IRNA reported today.
In response, Israel clarified that it will not pay the debt to the Iranians. “Without referring to the matter at hand, we’ll note that according to the Trading with the Enemy Act it is forbidden to transfer money to the enemy, including the Iranian national oil company,” the Finance Ministry statement said, Haaretz reports.
The compensation ruling follows a long-running legal battle between the two countries over the revenues from an oil pipeline joint venture that dates back to before the Islamic Revolution.

One must be crazy to deal with Iran
To 1:
This deal was from when the Sha was in charge and Israel and Iran enjoyed good relations.
How is it that that same kangaroo anti-semitic mock court didn’t require Iran to pay the world for all their terrorism?
Raboisai, that’s the world we live in! It reminds me of Eliezer eved Avrohom when he went to Sedom!
Seeing how much money irans proxies in the region have cost the israel military. I would say they are even!
It’s funny iran and lebanan what have they become since they took up radicalism? Beirut was once known as the paris of the middle east. And iran was a normal secular country like turkey was also. israel was so close with iran the sha took consultation from israeli brass on which military equipment to purchase.
The money is already in an escrow account incurring interest. Israeli officials in the past have said are waiting for the day that they can transfer the funds.
