Israeli Company Testing Flying Ambulance Drone

ambulanceThe AirMule, an unmanned flying ambulance, has successfully completed a series of fully automatic test flights, the Israeli firm Urban Aeronautics announced last month. Click here for a video.

AirMule is significantly quieter – and stealthier – than a helicopter, and capable of landing in tight spaces with ease.

The unmanned hovercraft could also serve civilian functions, rescuing patients injured by natural disasters or delivering food and supplies to isolated populations. Read more at Popular Mechanics.
