Tonight, hundreds will gather in Flatbush, Brooklyn, for the annual summer reception of Yeshiva Gedolah of Cliffwood. The event is being hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Knobel, at their home, 1376 East 24th Street. The event will begin at 8 p.m. The rosh yeshiva, Rav Shimon Alster, will address the gathering and a buffet dinner will be served.
Mr. Chaim Brachfeld, Reuvein Lubin and Moshe Shimon Blumenkrantz are co-hosting the reception.
The event will also serve as a tribute to the thirty-five years of Rav Alster’s devotion to his talmidim at Mesivta of Long Beach and now in Cliffwood.
Now in its sixth year, Rav Alster’s yeshiva, located in Cliffwood, New Jersey, on a quiet cul-de-sac just forty-five minutes from Brooklyn, has established itself as a premier makom Torah where bochurim and yungeleit toil in Torah from morning to night under the hadracha of the rosh yeshiva.
Rav Alster also serves as morah d’asra of Bais Medrash Torah U’tefilla in Flatbush.
