Yanky Ostreicher Hearing To Be Held This Morning in Bolivia

yanky-ostreicherYimmy Montaño, the lawyer in charge of the defense of Yanky Ostreicher, will be in court today for a hearing for an injunction to the arrest of Yanky, who has been in Bolivian custody for 18 months.

The hearing is scheduled for 8:40 this morning Bolivian time in the First Criminal Chamber of the Court of Justice Department of Santa Cruz.

During the hearing today, three issues will be assessed: the material truth of the claim against Mr. Ostreicher, 1,427 documents that were not assessed properly by the former prosecutors and judges, and the health of Mr. Ostreicher.

The hearing will be heard by a three-judge appeals panel. This will be Yanky’s first hearing since news of the extortion scandal broke.

All are asked to daven for Yaakov Yehuda ben Shaindel.
