With the Israeli elections just hours away, Prime Bibi Benjamin Netanyahu said he would not allow a Palestinian state to be established if his party stays in power.
“I think anyone who is going to establish a Palestinian state and to evacuate territory, is giving radical Islam a staging ground against the State of Israel,” Netanyahu said at a press conference in a bid to win over right-wing voters.
Furthermore, Netanyahu pledged to build more settlements in the West Bank after years of construction that have drawn international condemnation.
“We will continue to build in Jerusalem, we will add thousands of housing units, and in the face of all the (international) pressure, we will persist and continue to develop our eternal capital.” Read more at Times of Israel.
