The CEO of bitcoin exchange company Mt. Gox was arrested Saturday in Japan over the loss of a “massive amount” of his company’s bitcoin.
Mark Karpeles is suspected of falsifying data in the exchange’s computer system to change the outstanding balance, a charge he previously told the Wall Street Journal was “false.”
Mt. Gox became the target of hackers last February and stopped investors from accessing money. Read more at CNN.
