This Motzoei Shabbos, Parshas Shemos, January 9, Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah will be holding its annual melava malka for men at Bais Faiga Hall.
Twelve years ago, this unique organization was founded to alleviate the stress of families in need. Upon the sudden passing of Mrs. Devorah Jurkanski a”h, the organization was dedicated in her memory. With continued determination, Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah has addressed the needs of so many struggling with the financial burden of marrying off their children. And like its namesake, Devorah a”h, a woman who was beloved by all for her generous nature and boundless goodness, Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah provided for its recipients with incredible generosity and thoughtful detail.
Like its namesake, Mrs. Jurkanski a”h, a woman who brought joy to everyone who knew her, Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah has made its mark on the lives of so many families in Lakewood. With utmost sensitivity and discretion, the volunteers of Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah work to provide for everything a kallah will need for her wedding and future home, from basic appliances to linens and silverware.
With utmost sensitivity, each eligible kallah is invited to visit the tastefully designed showroom – a visit that is sure to dispel the anxiety brought on by overwhelming financial concerns.
The nondescript exterior of the Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah showroom belies its elegant and inviting interior. And the beautiful array of towels, linens, dishes and appliances presents a dizzying array of choices for every hopeful kallah.
At the dinner to benefit Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah, Rabbi Yekusiel Weinstein, founder of Chevrah Lomdei Torah of Lakewood, will receive the Keser Torah Award.
The dinner will also honor Rabbi Chaim Mordechai Goldenberg, honorary founding board member of Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah.
The guest speaker tonight will be Rav Yitzchok Sorotzkin, rosh yeshiva of Mesivta of Lakewood and Yeshivas Telshe Cleveland.
