Two men were hit by a car in Monsey this past Shabbos while walking to shul.
The two men, aged 27 and 51, were on the way to shul Shabbos morning when a driver who claimed to have a medical problem lost control of her vehicle and swerved onto the sidewalk.
Police who came to the scene found two wounded men and a 33-year-old driver in a 1999 Toyota Corolla. The two men were taken by Monsey Hatzolah to Westchester Medical Center, where they were treated for injuries to their legs and later released.
Despite claims that she suffered a mediacl condition that caused the accident, the driver received two summonses to the court – one for driving on the sidewalk, and the other for not using the designated route.
