This morning on “This Week,” David Axelrod told me that Mitt Romney is “living on a different planet” when it comes to the economy. Axelrod was responding to my question about the presumptive GOP presidential candidate’s attacks on the president after Obama’s comment Friday that the private sector is doing “fine.”
“He’s living on a different planet,” said Axelrod, a senior adviser to the Obama campaign, as he brushed off Romney’s attacks on Obama.
“I think the American people are smarter than that,” he said. “What was most interesting is how he (Romney) reacted to the spirit of the thing because his statement was ‘we don’t need any more teachers. We don’t need any more firefighters or police.'”
President Obama was heavily criticized Friday after he said during a press conference that the “private sector is doing fine” as he spoke about the American economic recovery and his concerns over the fiscal crisis in Europe.
“We’ve created 4.3 million new jobs over the last 27 months, over 800,00 just this year alone. The private sector is doing fine,” said Obama.
The president’s comments, which he later clarified, came just days after the Labor Department announced that only 69,000 jobs were created in the United States in May. Mitt Romney, the GOP’s presumptive presidential candidate, lashed out at Obama for his comments, calling him “out of touch” with the American people.

WELL YES, ROMNEY DOES NOT LIVE ON MARS
Obama and his Jewish henchmen, Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel live in the gutter.
we need to get this man out of the white house.
Axelrod is bitter because he will be out of a job when Hussain gets thrown out of office. Maybe Eric Holder can help him out.
May not mean a thing, but doesn’t his hair and moustache remind anyone of Herr Adolf?
Axelrod’s no tzaddik by any means, but Me Too’s comment above is repulsive.
