Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu addressed recent reports on Thursday evening regarding a purported initiative led by the Biden administration and several Arab nations to push forward the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Speaking during a Cabinet meeting, Netanyahu underscored his stance on the discussions surrounding the imposition of a Palestinian state on Israel.

“Israel rejects outright international dictates regarding a permanent settlement with the Palestinians,” he said. “Such a settlement will only be achieved through direct negotiations between the parties, without preconditions.”

“My position is summed up in the following two sentences: 1. Israel rejects outright international dictates regarding a permanent settlement with the Palestinians. Such a settlement will only be achieved through direct negotiations between the parties, without preconditions. 2. Israel will continue to oppose the unilateral recognition of a Palestinian state. Such recognition following the October 7 massacre would give a huge unprecedented reward to terrorism and prevent any future peace settlement.”

Netanyahu’s remarks come in the wake of a report by The Washington Post detailing efforts by the Biden administration and regional allies to expedite a plan for the creation of a Palestinian state immediately following the cessation of hostilities in Gaza.

Described as a “comprehensive plan for long-term peace between Israel and Palestinians,” the proposal includes a timeline for the establishment of a Palestinian entity, with announcements expected in the coming weeks.

The urgency surrounding the plan is attributed to proposed ceasefire arrangements tied to ongoing negotiations, particularly concerning prisoner exchanges.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich vehemently opposed the reported plan, decrying it as a reward for past violence and asserting that a Palestinian state would pose an existential threat to Israel.

In response to the developments, Netanyahu vowed to seek unequivocal opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state during a Political-Security Cabinet meeting, urging support from key figures within the government.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir echoed Netanyahu’s sentiments, dismissing the notion of a Palestinian state as ill-conceived and incompatible with the prevailing security concerns, particularly in the aftermath of recent events.

  1. Are the nations oblivious to the implications of even suggesting a state nkw? A new state would make October 7th their independence day. Would America want 9/11 celebrated in its public schools? This is despicable.

  2. Bibi jabs very nicely. But even he has no plan for a religious state.

Who knows exactly where things will go. It seems we are headed to something.
