Mrs. Mindel (Margulies) Weiss a”h

It is with great shock and sadness that Matzav.com reports the sudden passing of Mrs. Mindel (Margulies) Weiss a”h.

She suffered a heart attack, was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, and passed away.

Mrs. Margulies was the wife of Rav Menachem Mendel Margulies zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Gedolah Torah Temimah.

Mrs. Margulies had gotten remarried on Lag Ba’omer to Rav Leib Weiss, rov of the Sefard minyan at A Country Place in Lakewood, NJ.

She was a daughter of Rav and Rebbetzin Tzvi Halberstam, Rudnicker Rov, of Los Angeles.

Mrs. Margulies was a longtime principal at Satmar Girls School in Boro Park, a beloved mechaneches who touched so many teachers and students over her wonderful career in chinuch.

For decades, during the summer, she was the greatly admired secretary at Camp Silver Lake in Woodridge, NY, where her good cheer, constant smile, and always astute guidance and assistance became synonymous with the camp.

Her petirah has plunged her family, friends, admirers, and the thousands of bochurim and girls who benefitted from her chinuch and kindness into mourning.

Her husband, Rav Mendel, was niftar three years ago during the height of Covid.

She is survived by her wonderful family, children and grandchildren who are following in the ways of their illustrious parents.

The levayah will be held today, at 1 p.m., at the Sigheter Bais Medrash, located at 1511 50th Street in Boro Park, followed by kevurah in Kiryas Yoel at 4:30 p.m. The family will be sitting shivah at 1531 50th Street in Boro Park.
