The IDF spokesperson has authorized the release of information this evening confirming the death of Sergeant First Class (res.) Amichai Yisrael Yehoshua Oster in combat in the Gaza Strip.
Sgt. Oster, 24, a resident of Karnei Shomron, served in Battalion 7020 of the 5th Brigade.
During the same engagement in northern Gaza, two additional soldiers from Battalion 7020 sustained serious injuries alongside Oster.
A reserve soldier belonging to the 8219 Engineering Battalion suffered severe injuries in combat within the southern Gaza Strip. Simultaneously, another officer was critically injured in a separate battle in northern Gaza.
