It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of the Chuster Rov, Rav Shmuel Shmelke Leifer zt”l of Boro Park.
A son of Rav Aharon Moshe Leifer of Chust, Rav Shmelke, as a bochur, was meshameish his zaide, the Skolya Rebbe. In his younger years, he learned at Yeshivas Ger.
The rov subsequently opened his own yeshiva, Toras Chesed.
The levayah will be held on Monday morning, at 10 a.m., t the Chust Bais Medrash, located at 5506-16th Avenue in Boro Park. Kevurah will follow at the Har Shalom Cemetery in Airmont, NY.

3) he was a well known baal darshan who inspired people all over the world…

Chuster Rav B.P. was R. Pinchas Dovid Horowitz, of the Bostoner dynasty, who was niftar a bit over two years ago.
