Former President Trump decisively outperformed President Biden in their presidential debate on Thursday, according to fresh polling data.

A survey conducted by Schoen Cooperman Research, encompassing 500 registered voters, revealed that 51% of those who watched or were aware of the debate believed Trump emerged victorious, while only 23% thought Biden came out on top.

Additionally, 14% of respondents considered the debate a tie, and 12% were unsure about who won.

Over half of the voters indicated that Biden’s performance was more concerning than anticipated, whereas 17% felt that Trump did not meet expectations.

More voters described Trump’s debate demeanor as “more presidential” compared to Biden’s.

The poll indicated that Trump made significant progress in easing voters’ concerns about his capability to serve, whereas Biden amplified these worries.

Nearly 75% of voters reported feeling “more concerned” about Biden’s “age and fitness to be president” following the debate.

Regarding Trump, 39% of voters expressed increased concern about him being “chaotic, out of control, and not having the right character to be president,” while 30% said their concerns about this diminished after the debate.

Despite Trump’s decisive debate performance, the overall dynamics of the race remained largely unchanged.

Of those surveyed, 47% intended to vote for Trump, compared to 43% for Biden.

A crucial 10% of voters were either undecided or did not plan to vote.

These figures reflect the slight leads Trump had secured in polls conducted prior to the debates.

The Schoen-Cooperman survey brought further negative news for Biden.

Half of the voters stated they were “much more likely to vote” as a result of the debate.

Although both candidates were viewed unfavorably by more voters than not, Biden’s negative ratings were higher, with 53% holding an “unfavorable” opinion of him compared to 50% for Trump.

“Trump is the clear winner of the debate as he was able to both improve perceptions of him and exceed expectations of how he would perform. Critically, he did much better at neutralizing his biggest weakness — appearing chaotic and out of control — while Biden’s performance exacerbated concerns about his age and fitness to serve as President,” pollster Carly Cooperman told The Post.

The poll’s respondents were evenly divided, with 36% identifying as Democrats and 36% as Republicans. Another 25% identified as “independent.”

A similar poll conducted by CNN after the debate also showed Trump significantly outperforming Biden.

President Biden has faced increasing pressure to withdraw from the race, a move he has adamantly opposed. In a post on Truth Social on Saturday, Trump — known for his self-praise — declared his performance “the greatest debate performance in the long and storied history of Presidential Debates.”

  1. Can someone please offer some clarification.
Can President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. realistically withdraw at this point? True the party hasn’t yet officially nominated him, but who, other than Harris realistically replace him at this point?

    • They have all the props, actors, masks and clones for Biden and obviously doing a great job for what he’s needed. They will not change him until Trump officially returns.
